Using Hypnotherapy in Counselling and Psychotherapy Workshop
Introduction
An abundance of clinical evidence supports the use of hypnotherapy to help a wide range of typical client challenges.
This workshop is for counsellors and psychotherapists who would like to explore the efficacy of using hypnotherapy in their clinical practice.
The workshop is run by Susan Wallace who has been teaching therapists for over twenty years. The workshop is a blend of evidence based research, practical demonstrations, short lectures and lots of hands on experimentation.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the work shop you will be able to do the following:
- Recognise the signs that your clients are drifting into hypnosis naturally
- Master a hypnotic induction and emerge clients safely
- Use a creative metaphor to develop realistic goals for each session
- Create post hypnotic suggestions to improve client motivation and confidence
- Help clients access and use unconscious resources so they notice an improvement in how they think, feel and act after each session.
In addition, we will examine how clinical hypnotherapy helps with common challenges including anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, early childhood conditioning, trauma, depression and much, much more.
